Ilundain Haritz Berri Foundation

Ilundain Haritz Berri Foundation is a private nonprofit organization of public interest, which offers a service to society in the Foral Community of Navarra. It is based in an educative project to the social, scholastic, professional, labour and ecological attention. It has been conceived to children and kids since 12 years old with a high risk of social and labour exclusion.

The work of Ilundain is developed in the next fields:

Formative programs:

ACP: Ilundain Foundation has got three Adapted Curriculum Program aid by the Education Department of the Government of Navarra. The students between 13 and 15 come to the school through the School Commission of Education Department.

IPQP: In this moment, Ilundain is formed by three programs of Initial Professional Qualification with the specialist fields of Gardening, Carpenter shop and Brickwork aid by the Education Department and Social Department of the Government of Navarra. The field of brickwork is the basic one with a duration of 2 years and the option to obtain the secondary school certificate. It is addressed to students between 15 and 21.

Pre-work Programs:

School workshop: is a school of work and formation for kids with 30 plazas which is divided in three formative fields: Gardening, Carpenter shop and Brickwork. It is supported and aid by the Navarra Employment Service, promoted by Ilundain Foundation, aid by the European Social Survey and in cooperation with the Aranguren Valley. It is addressed to kids between 16 and 21.

LSIC Sendoki: the labour social insertion centre through the activities as gardening and carpenter shop offers to problematic kids labour habits and a professional training which makes easy their social and labour insertion. The work is made in cooperation with the Navarre institute of Social Welfare and the Employment Navarre Service of the Government of Navarre. It is settled in the industrial state Areta in Huarte.

Residences:

Ilundain Foundation has got now three residences arranged with the department of social matters in Navarre. 75 qualified people work in those residences to cover one year term, 24 hours every day and offer a personal and permanent attention.

1. Observation and receptioncentre: (OSC): to care 15youngsters under 18(boys and girls) with urgent needs of attention forsocial severe risk and difficulties in the personal, social, familiar,psychological and medical aspects. Finally, it is necessary to elaborate a diagnosis and a proposal to go to other residence or their own home through the General Master of Family in Navarre.
2. Protection residence: It is addressed to under 18 girls which due to important difficulties in their families, need a familiar environment to acquire regular habits and develop convenient activities and studies in the residence and outside.
3. Residence for compliance of judicial measures: 10 youngsters. It is addressed to the attention of offenders which comply measures of closed, open, semiopen or preventive regime. The period of internment of a minor depends in the measure of internment given by the Juvenile Court. If the internment is in close regime and the offense is severe with other aggravating circumstances, the period of time in the residence could be between 1 and 6 years for 14 and15 years old youngsters and between 1 and 10 years for 16 and 17 years old kids.

Ecological Programs:

Farm School: this is a place of environment education which is promoting different educative programs to the students of Navarra and other surrounding regions. Its goal is that people are concerned about environment and have positive attitudes about it.

Labour Incorporation program:

Lan Sarreran: this program try to get the social and labour insertion  of people in social exclusion risk. They can come from Ilundain foundation or other associations. The insertion is seen as the challenge of our educative process because it provides personal independence and avoids the institutionalization of these young people.

Department of I+D+i:

The department of investigation , development and innovation has got two objectives:

• to offer an internal service to the rest of departments, programs and the management team through the technical support and innovation advises and development.
• To promote the corporate image showing the society the mission and objectives of the Foundation and the services which is offering as well as making the Foundation take part in organizations and community supportive networks
